Let P(x) be a polynomial of odd degree with real coefficient. Then the equation P(x)=0 has st least one real root. Prove this.

應該有幾個方法

首先若是不存在根,那勢必P要恆正或是恆負(否則IVT可得知會有根),可由此去找矛盾

或者是直關的使用IVT, 因為是odd degree,如果領導係數是正, P(+oo) -> +oo , P(-oo) -> -oo  (可以check看看)  by IVT-->exists a root

領導係數是負的也是一樣

或者是可利用假設irreducible over R[x] 去找找看矛盾
